American Cancer Society Discovery Shop The heart of the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop efforts is volunteers. You can make a generous contribution by the giving of your time to work in our attractive shops. Fun and friendship are just two of the many benefits you'll receive as an American Cancer Society Discovery Shop volunteer. No special skills are necessary, just a desire to share your energy and enthusiasm a few hours a month. Although there are about 100 volunteers in the Dubuque Shop, more are always needed. Volunteers are scheduled into two shifts: 9:30 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 4:40 pm, Monday through Saturday. The Shop closes a half hour early on Saturdays and stays open until 6:30 pm on Wednesdays. 2179
